Good afternoon everyone,
I hope you all are having a good week.
Firstly, a warm welcome to everyone who has joined Staffordshire Smart Alerts over the last few weeks. We are now up to 1454 persons who are registered to receive these updates in the Trentham and Hanford area, which is fantastic!
I have put the details of how anyone wishing to receive these e-mails can do so near to the end of this e-mail.
Please note that there has been a change of time for tomorrows street surgery at Mayne St – details are below.
Incident update – Regarding the attempted burglary on Pacific Road on 29/05/26. The second juvenile involved in this incident has now been identified. He has been interviewed and will now be processed by our Youth Offending Team.
Staffordshire Smart Alert Appeal
We have received a report that on 28/06/26 at approximately 5am, a male has entered the rear garden of an address on Danebower Rd and stolen 2 pairs of trainers.
The incident occurred between the two blue arrows on this map.
Yesterday (29/06/26) I attended Danebower Rd and completed enquiries into this incident. I do have a good image of the male, to which efforts will be made to try and identify him. The male left behind a number of items, some of which pictured below.
If anyone recognises any of the property or has any CCTV, Ring doorbell footage or any other information that may help our enquiries – please reply to this message and I will be in touch – thank you.
This afternoon (30/06/26) I have completed a targeted patrol of the canal in the area where this offence took place.
I am happy to report that I came across no issues and I plan to do additional patrols throughout the week.
Neighbourhood Watch
Today I have delivered ‘Neighbourhood Watch welcome packs’ to every address within the new zone that I created recently - This was around 150 addresses (approx).
I am hoping that I can place the Neighbourhood Watch signs in the new zone and the zone for Meadow Lane later this week.
Community Speed Watch
The Community Speed Watch Team have been on Barlaston Old Road this morning from 09:30 – 10:30. In that time 272 vehicles passed along Barlaston Old Rd, with 19 recorded as driving above the 30mph speed limit. Advisory letters will now be sent to the registered keepers of those 19 vehicles.
Speeding is one of the most frequently discussed topics that residents raise and highlight concerns over. Therefore, the work that the Community Speed Watch Team our doing is extremely important in helping to keep our roads in Trentham and Hanford Safer. A very big thank you to the team and the hard work they put in, its greatly appreciated.
Reports to the Council Last week I spotted two potholes at the end of Perthy Road, junction of Allerton Rd. This has been reported to the Council via www.stoke.gov.uk
Reports to the Canal and River Trust
A resident made me aware that a number of items, (such as shown in these photos) had been removed from the canal and left. This was between Longton Road and Jonathan Road. I contacted the Canal and River Trust and I believe these have now been removed.
